W3StudioCMS 1.1.9 has been released

W3studioCMS is a modern Open Source web 2.0 Content Management System application which lets you edit the contents on the webpage and immediatly see the change you made in realtime, using ajax transactions. W3StudioCMS has no limitation design for the templates' layout: you can easily import any xhtml template and use it for your website.

W3StudioCMS is totally Object Oriented, so you can easily customize the CMS for your needs, extending the core classes or adding new contents and editors. It is based on symfony framework, so all the benefits introduced by this
powerful and great software are available in the CMS. This new release introduces several changes:

- The backend's interface has been redesigned to be simplier and lesser obstructive.
- The backend's javascripts can be compressed as gz file to increase the performances.
- Prototype has been removed from the frontend and jQuery has taken its place.
- The skin has been redesigned to give a better look to the CMS.
- The signin form and relative actions have been reviewed and improved
- A new bundled plugin has been added to automatize the inserting of a signin button in a page.

A cumulative patch is downloadable from http://www.w3studiocms.com/en/downloads.html for user sice 1.1.6 release.
