Free MediaPass extension to charge for Joomla contentby scept1c in Joomla Extension InformerIf you produce content for a blog or other Joomla website, you might want to charge for some of or all of the content. This business model has been successful for many WordPress blogs out there. The blog owner gives away a lot of free content, and then produces premium content that you can pay to access. Now, this funcionality is available for Joomla websites as well. By downloading the free MediaPass extension, Joomla users can enable a recurring subscription service, without adding code manually to their template or articles. Publishers can even add the MediaPass subscription box to articles of selected categories automatically. This eases the use of the extension significantly. Using MediaPass on your site involves a few steps. First, you need to install the extension. Then, you need to register an account with MediaPass. After registration, you get an ID with MediaPass that you enter into the extension settings. You are now ready to use the extension. You can choose to enable payment for entire categories automatically, or you can add MediaPass tags to individual articles manually. You can also choose to show the login / register box as an overlay on the page or integrated into the page. Lastly, you can choose to charge for the complete article, or everything that appears after the Read More tag. Filed under the category Joomla Rating: 0.00 (login to vote) |
