Tiki Community Presents Free Webinars
Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware will present a series of free webinars starting Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 21:00:00 UTC (find your timezone: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?year=2012&month=1&day=19&hour=21&min=0&sec=0) using BigBlueButton (http://bigbluebutton.org). These webinars will allow the Tiki Community to introduce new features in current and upcoming releases of Tiki. Additionally, Tiki Developers will be able to show off their latest work and Tiki admins can give a virtual tour of their own sites.
The seminars are free for anyone with an interest in Tiki, wikis, and content management systems (CMS). Participants attending the seminars will use the Tiki + BigBlueButton integration. This integration features full audio and visual communication, chatting, desktop sharing, and much more... and requires only a browser! The seminars also allow the Tiki Community to "dogfood" these features!
The first webinar, on January 19, will feature a demonstration of Tiki Draw and Tiki Docs, a developer-led discussion of several upcoming features, and include plenty of open time for community discussion.
All Tiki Community members are encouraged to attend as well as present their own work. For details, see http://tiki.org/Webinars and the Tiki Community calendar: http://info.tiki.org/Calendar .

Tiki Mailing Lists Pass 100,000 Messages
Recently, the Tiki mailing lists posted their 100,000th message! This level of collaboration has helped Tiki become the FOSS Web Application with the most built-in features (http://tiki.org/FOSS+Web+Application+with+the+most+built-in+features).
Even more amazingly, the mailing list traffic does not include the discussions on the Tiki forums, bug tracker and feature wishlist, IRC chatroom, and individual wiki pages!

A new way to to contribute to Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware
Unlike other open source applications, the Tiki project is supported <strong>entirely</strong> by its community. The Tiki Software Community Association, an incorporated non-profit entity that was formed in 2009 as the legal steward for Tiki, is now accepting financial contributions from those who wish to support Tiki monetarily. Donations will be used to support the Tiki community hardware infrastructure, domain fees, TikiFests, and other community expenses.
<a href="http://tiki.org/Donation"><img src="http://tiki.org/display264" alt="Contribute to Tiki" width="170" /></a>
A financial contribution <strong>is not required</strong> to join the Tiki Community, become a developer, or use Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware. There are many other ways to support Tiki such as becoming active on the support forums, contributing to code development, or writing documentation.
For full details on the new Tiki donation program, see http://tiki.org/Donation .
